Kesari and Prema, a lion and a lioness, arrived at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Zoological Park in Kamalapur near Hampi on Tuesday. The lion and lioness have been brought from the Bannerghatta National Park.

These are in addition to the two pairs of tigers that have already arrived.

One pair, Pruthvi and Ramya, brought from Mysuru Zoo, arrived in March, while another pair, Sindhu and Chamumdi, brought from Bannerghatta national park, arrived during mid-April.

According to sources, these wild cats will not be open for public view as they have to acquint themselves with the new location and environment.
