After a 650-million km journey, the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) put itself into the orbit around the red planet. Here are some pictures from the ISTRAC Mission Analysis Centre, Peenya, Bangalore, from where the orbiter was monitored.
The operation was witnessed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Governor Vajubhai Vala, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, leading scientists and mediapersons.
