Two arrested for hunting deer

Mudigere Range Forest officers, on Thursday, arrested two persons on the charge of hunting spotted deer and recovered 15 kg of deer meat from them.

The arrested are C.N. Raju and Somashekhar of Bevinagudde in Mudigere taluk. The officers raided the place where the arrested were engaged in sharing the meat they caught with the help of a snare. Tools used in the hunting were recovered too.

The officials were headed by Range Forest officer P.L. Prahlad. The arrested have been remanded to judicial custody.
