Thiruvananthapuram: Film-maker Shaji N. Karun has been elected president and writer Ashokan Charuvil general secretary of the Purogamana Kalasahitya Sangham here on Sunday. The other office-bearers elected at the State convention of the organisations are: V.N. Murali, S. Rameshan, Ezhacherry Ramachandran, S. Gokulachandran, Purushan Kadalundi, Janamma Kunhunni, S. Rajasekharan, PVK Panayal, T.D. Ramakrishnan, E.V. Rajagopal (vice-presidents) and KEN Kunhahammed, Suja Susan George, Seethammal, V.K. Joseph, C.R. Das, M.M. Narayanan, Vinod Vaishakhi, P.S. Sreekala, and G.P. Ramachandran (secretaries). T.R. Ajayan is treasurer.
