NSA Ajit Doval meets Amit Shah

This is the first meeting between them after Mr. Doval returned from Kashmir Valley

Home Minister Amit Shah met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other senior officials on Monday. Though the agenda of the meeting was not known, an official said that the present situation in the Kashmir Valley could have been discussed among other things.

Mr. Doval refused to answer any questions as he emerged from the meeting. He also dodged the question on the total number of political persons in “preventive detention.”

Mr. Doval had camped in the Valley for 10 days and personally monitored the situation.

Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba and Intelligence Bureau Director Arvind Kumar were also present in the meeting.
