A day after reminding the Bharatiya Janata Party of late Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray’s support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after Gujarat riots, Shiv Sena on Monday praised the latter by saying his stand on Muslims was similar to that of Mr Thackeray.
“By taking the guarantee of patriotism of Muslims, Mr. Modi has initiated a new wave. The entire community cannot be held responsible for the actions of a handful. Even the Shiv Sena chief had said the similar thing. We oppose those who stay here and show allegiance to Pakistan,” said an editorial in party’s mouthpiece Saamna.
Citing the statements of Owaisi and Shahabuddin, the editorial claimed that Muslims have not given the evidence of their loyalty to the country in last 60 years. “Indian Muslims should not let Mr. Modi’s word go in vain now,” advised the editorial.

The editorial added that Shiv Sena chief always respected patriotic Muslims. “
The editorial said that those political leaders who run their politics on the basis of Muslim vote-bank are nothing less than terrorists. “All problems will be solved, once the Indian Muslims accept India as their motherland. Vande Matram will be a national song for them too and they can breathe easily under Uniform Civil Code. All obstacles in building Ram temple will be cleared and communal work from Madrasas will also be stopped,” claimed the editorial.
