PMK youth wing leader Anbumani Ramadoss on Thursday urged the government to clarify whether NEET exemption is possible this academic year.

In a Twitter post, he pointed out that it had been two months since the anti-NEET bill was passed in the assembly for the second time. But it had not obtained Governor’s nod.

Dr. Anbumani said the confusion about whether medical admission would be based on Class 12 marks or NEET scores had reached its peak. It was a worse situation for the students to be in.

Students from rural areas would be affected more and the State government should work fast towards getting the exemption, he added.
