Adilabad Judicial First Class Magistrate B. Mary Sara Danamma on Friday posted the Azad case protest petition for orders to March 24. The petition was filed by K. Padma and Babita Pandey, wives of slain Maoist Cherukuri Rajkumar alias Azad and journalist Hemchandra Pandey respectively seeking filing of murder case on the policemen who participated in the 2010 July 2 encounter which, they alleged was a fake one.

The petitioners appeared personally in the JFCM court and filed written arguments for taking cognizance of their plea. Talking to newsmen after emerging from the court, they hoped that they will get justice in the court.
