Adman-filmmaker R. Balki’s fascination with superstar Amitabh Bachchan is legendary. After having cast Bachchan in “Cheeni Kum” and “Paa”, Balki is ready with yet another film for the superstar. “I am a very big fan of Amitabh”, said Balki. “I just imagine how I want to see him in a movie and then start working on the script. The script is for Amitabh and not vice versa, and I just get lucky that he agrees to work with me.”
Balki said he was equally fascinated by Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan and hoped one day to pit Amitabh and Rajni together. “I haven’t yet imagined a script for Rajnikanth but any role for him has to be totally whacked,” he added.
Is there anything about Bachchan that he dislikes? “Yes, the fact that he doesn’t drink, so I have to do all the talking,” laughed Balki.
