Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli has been fined Rs. 12 lakh for maintaining slow over rate during the team’s Indian Premier League game against Rising Pune Supergiants.

Kohli and A.B. de Villiers smashed brisk half centuries to guide Royal Challengers Bangalore to a 13-run win over Rising Pune Supergiants last night.

“Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has been fined after the team maintained a slow over rate during last evening’s VIVO IPL match against Rising Pune Supergiants in Pune. Since it was his first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Mr. Kohli was fined Rs. 12 lakh,” the IPL said in a statement.
