“Junior India coach Sudhakar Reddy will be the chief coach and I will also take up training sessions along with my preparations for international tournaments,” he added.
He said the academy will gradually shape into a hub for badminton in the coastal Andhra districts. “The academy will function on the four wooden courts of DRRMC indoor stadium from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.”
Chetan said that he will take part in the Maldives Open tournament in June and later he will prepare for the U.S and Canadian Grand Prix fixtures.
“I am making a comeback into the Indian team after my knee injury and I have recovered 80 per cent. In the next two to three months I will be taking part in local tournaments to regain my lost rhythm and also to assess my performance,” he said.
